Proud to be Part of the Future of Medical Education
Hilltop Medical Clinic is proud to support the SFU Stephens Family School of Medicine as a clinical teaching site for medical students.
SFU’s new medical school is based in Surrey and has a strong focus on community-based, primary care education. Medical students begin clinical learning early in their training and gain longitudinal experience working alongside physicians and healthcare teams in community clinics.
Hilltop Medical Clinic is proud to play a role in educating the next generation of physicians while continuing our long-standing commitment to the White Rock and South Surrey community.
Medical Education Leadership
Dr. Manpreet (Micky) Cooner serves as Clinical Site Director – White Rock–South Surrey for the SFU Stephens Family School of Medicine.
Dr. Reema Beri serves as Faculty Education and Support Lead – Fraser Region (White Rock–South Surrey), supporting local physicians and clinical faculty involved in medical education.
As part of their medical education, students may participate in patient care at Hilltop under the direct supervision of experienced physicians. Patients may therefore be invited to have a medical student involved in their appointment.
Participation is always voluntary. Your physician remains responsible for your care, and your privacy and quality of care will always be respected.
By participating in medical education, our patients and physicians are helping to shape the doctors who will care for our community in the future.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to our front desk staff or to your doctor.
